Rotational Molding

We are a custom rotational molder whose task is to satisfy our customers design and product requirements. We bring together the means to complete a product suited to their needs in the environment of rotational molding.

The rotational molding process is unlike other plastic process techniques.

- The steel mold is in two pieces and attached to a rota arm.
- A pre-determined amount of polymer powder is placed into a steel mold.
- The mold is closed, locked together and automatically loads into the oven.
- The mold then rotates on its axis within the gas heated oven.

The mold heats, therefore melting the polymer which in turn sticks it to the side of the mold, building up an even layer of coverage over the inside of the mold. When the optimum level of coverage has been achieved, the mould is cooled to solidify the shape. Once cooled, the mold is taken apart and the product is removed. Rotational molding allows us to build big or small hollow components in a more reasonable time frame. We can build large and complex products ranging from rainwater tanks, floating pontoons even automotive components. This shows the complexity of our process.

Every day we come into contact with rotational molded parts or products. In school yards, buildings industry, recycling, play grounds, caravans & trucks you will find a water tank, bins, fuel tanks and other products made from this fantastic process.
